Our very own "Gravytrain" has just completed his college education and was recently honored at a very prestigious graduation ceremony in beautiful Little Rock, Arkansas.

It's times like these that I'm sure we all look back and reflect upon our times with each other.

I will share just a brief story of a fond memory I have with Gravy. I hope everyone here will follow suit...

It was about a year ago when Gravy, ek3, another person that doesnt post here, and I had tickets to random Memphis Grizzlies (Go Grizzly!) games. Well, needless to say we had bought into the shitty ticket section where we often found ourselves having to look around the guy with the spotlight to actually see the floor.

Because of this (and the constant strain on our eyes to see any sign of action) we often tried to improve our viewing area by moving into a section of seating that was far more rewarding to the viewer in attendance.

The Memphis Grizzlies suck so picking out empty seats was usually not a problem.

On one fateful eve we were split up. Not to panic, however, as we were still in pairs. Gravy and I were separated from ek3 and his boyfriend (see smokinlizzies..he IS gay!) so we just stayed calm and decided to continue on with the gameplan.
We found our own seats on the last row of the first level. They were pretty good seats but not great.

About that time they brought out the T-Shirt "potato gun" contraption that is ever so popular amoung crowds of America. People seem to be willing to risk life and limb for a $10 100% cotton piece of fabric emblazoned ever so prominently with the mascot of the local team.
I guess you could say, when the T-Shirt gun breaks out, madness is soon to follow.

Much like tossing meat to a pack of starving racoons, people will fight and squabble over this prized possession as if it were lined with gold and contained all the secrets of life on its sleeve.

Upon seeing this T-shirt gun and the throng of crazed Memphis inhabitants that were set intently on being the individual that would be proudly be displaying their new XXL 'T' the following day at the local waffle house, DJ and I scoffed at our chances of taking home a beloved T-Shirt.

But then something happened....something magical. They pointed the gun towards us and while we knew that the chances were slim, we saw that we might indeed have a shot at this ultimate prize!

They fired the gun and the shot rang out loud and clear. It reverberated throughout the arena and for a moment, time seemed to stop in its tracks.

For the T-Shirt was on a collision course with the man in front of us.

There was no time to waste! Being the genious that he is...DJ instantly calculated, in his head, the arena SQ footage, the velocity of the T-Shirt and the number of beers the man in front of us had downed.

With the new data that he had obtained, he was able to know exactly where and when the man would fumble the T-Shirt and the precise place where it would be floating through space.

It worked. The man fumbled the shirt and DJ struck like a cobra! One quick outreach of the hand and it was his!

DJ had done the impossible and had a firm grasp of the garment!

Everyone in our section stood and cheered while DJ gloriously raised his hands over his head and let the praise reign down.

For this would be his shining moment.

A tear came to my eye as I saw him so joyously with his T-Shirt.

Nary a word was spoken the rest of the evening as I was so thrilled that his lifelong dream had finally come true.

    The end.

I cant believe I just spent so long typing that. This threads gay!

Anways, on the ride home DJ opened his door for some reason when the vehicle was moving on the interstate. The T-Shirt fell out.

All of this is true. I was very disappointed when I lost the T-shirt that night on the way home. In fact, many nights I lie awake in my bed wondering what that T-shirt is.

Maybe someday we might meet up again.

    Ahh....the memories.

i think its a very good story.

i wonder if someone picked it up while walking
along or fixing a flat. or if highway mowers
cut it up. or if it just rotted there....
